Breast Lifting
Breast lifting, also known as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure performed to change the shape of the breasts. Reasons like weight loss, breast-feeding and aging may cause undesired changes in breast shape. A breast lift surgery might boost your self-image and self-confidence. During breast lifting surgery, excess skin is removed and the sagging nipples are lifted to an optimal position after reshaping the breast tissue. Breast lifting surgery doesn’t promise a significiant change in size of the breast. However, the procedure can be combined with breast reduction or breast augmentation with slicone implants if needed.
Breast Lifting
Breast lift operation is a cosmetic surgery procedure to lift sagging or fallen breast tissue. This procedure is generally preferred to correct breast sagging due to factors such as aging, excessive weight loss, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Breast lift operation is usually performed under local or general anesthesia and takes 2-4 hours. During the procedure, the breast tissue is removed and the remaining breast tissue is erected. When necessary, the nipples (nipple) are also erected and reduced if necessary.
After the breast lift operation, the patient usually feels pain, swelling and bruises for a few days. It is recommended to avoid heavy activities and wear a supportive bra for about 2 weeks after the operation. The recovery period after surgery may vary depending on the age of the patient, general health status and the way the operation is performed.
